Surrounded by his family on Sunday, May 21, 2023, Xavier “Herbie” Courvier entered his Eternal rest in Floresville, Texas at the age of 61 years old. He was a lifetime resident of Floresville, Texas, where he was born and raised by loving parents Paula Padilla and Matias S. Courvier Jr. on September 18, 1961.
Xavier was preceded in death by his father, Matias S. Courvier, Jr. and his brother, Michael and sister Paula Courvier. He is survived by his mother, Paula Padilla Courvier and his beloved son, Matias Courvier and Brittany Martinez. He will also be missed by his granddaughter, also known as his princess, Zadaya A’Marie Courvier. He is also survived by his siblings, Orfelinda Courvier, Barbara Montgomery and husband Aarion, Noelia Courvier and Dionisio, Tina Courvier, Marcelliana Courvier, and Leonard Courvier and wife Toni. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends.
Xavier lived and worked in Odessa for the past 7 years where he was employed by Precision Catalyst and operated a crimper which was named “Herbie” after him. He enjoyed his job but because of his illness had to quit and came home to live. Xavier left the world a beautiful legacy of love and joy and will be forever cherished by his family and friends.
A visitation will be held at 9:00 am on June 8, 2023 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A rosary will follow at 10:00 am and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am. Interment will directly follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
