William L. King

William L. King passed into his Eternal rest on January 30, 2024 in Floresville, Texas at the age of 73 years old.   He was born and raised in Floresville, Texas  to parents, Richard L. & Flossie Mae King on November 30, 1950.  William was a lifetime resident of Floresville, where he raised his four sons with the love of his life, Alice King.  He took pride in his community and was honored to serve as a Sheriff’s Deputy and was a proud member of the United States Army Reserves.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Richard L. & Flossie Mae King, and his siblings, Richard Lee King, D.A. “Buddy” King, Genevive Worthington, David King, Joey King, George King, Cora Jean Mints, and Bobby King.  He was also preceded by his grandson, Matthew King, his Father and Mother-in-Law, Ben & Mary Lyssy, and his Brother-in-Law, Raymond Lyssy.  William is survived by his beloved wife, Alice King, and his children, Justin King (Kim), Joe King (Brandi), Ricky King (Nicole), and Cody King (Kammy).  He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Corgin, Tycen, Heather, Hailey, Colton, Bevyn, Braelyn, Sophia, Aracelly, and Joseph King.  William will also be forever remembered by his siblings, Elsie Wright, Jimmy King (Dianne), Sammy King, Ernest King (Brenda), Steve King (Marilyn), and Ida Rogers (Sam).  William truly left a mark on all who knew him and will be greatly missed by numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A visitation will be held at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Franklin Funeral Home.  A Funeral Service will begin at 7:00 pm.
