Weston "Dottie" Hill

Weston Ina Belle Swaim “Dottie” Hill passed into the loving arms of our Lord on June 18, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 95 years old. Dottie was born to the loving parents of Vera Tidy Barker King and Erol Eliza Swaim on December 1, 1927. Dottie accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at First Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas in 1943.  She was a woman of Faith and held her favorite Bible passages, Psalm 23, John 14: 1-6, Revelations 21:1-7, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and her favorite hymns, “I Come to the Garden Alone” and “He the Pearly Gates will Open” close to her heart. Dottie married the love of her life, James Wesley Hill in Seguin, Texas on July 11, 1944.  They were married for 71 years and were blessed with their three beloved sons.

Dottie was preceded in death by her husband, James Wesley Hill, and her children, Robert Earl Hill, James Dixon Hill, and Bruce Daniel Hill.  She was also preceded in death by her beloved niece Fredi Adele Sparrow.  She is survived by her grandchildren, Jeffrey Earl Hill, Catherine Elizabeth Hill, David Hill, Rustin Wesley Hill and Alyssa Marie Hill and her cherished great nieces and nephews, Darin Sparrow, Lisa Neel Sparrow, and Todd Sparrow.  Dottie will be missed by her grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, July 10, 2023 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in Shelter One.
