Wanda Joyce Mcvay

Wanda Joyce McVay passed away in her San Antonio, Texas home on August 19, 2025 at the age of 71.  She was born in Floresville, Texas to loving parents, Joyce Marie Shultz McVay and Cullen W. McVay Sr. on March 18, 1954.  Wanda was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, and sister who leaves behind cherished memories for her loved ones.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Joyce Marie Shultz McVay and Cullen W. McVay Sr, and her siblings, Karen McVay Martinez and Margie McVay Frieda.  She is survived by her beloved children, Gary Roy Danysh, Dana Danysh, Steven Danysh, and Danny McVay.  Wanda also leaves behind her grandchildren, Andrea Ramirez, Alex Ramirez Jr., Leonardo Ramirez, and Dominic Ramirez.  Wanda truly touched the lives of all who knew her, especially her siblings, Sherry McVay Lohse, Rodney McVay, and Cullen McVay.

A visitation will be held at 9:30 am on September 6, 2025 at Franklin Funeral Home and a memorial service will begin at 11:00 am.  Wanda’s memory is a light her family will carry forward and they thank the community for helping to keep her beautiful memories alive.
