Ramona Vicenta “Quata” Marroquin Flores passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, in Floresville, Texas, at the age of 88. She was born on January 22, 1938, in Floresville, Texas, to Antonia Flores and Eugenio Marroquin.

A lifelong resident of Floresville, Quata was a hardworking woman who spent many years working in agriculture as a migrant worker. She knew the value of an honest day’s work and carried that hardworking spirit with her throughout her life. When she wasn’t working, Quata enjoyed sewing and cooking and left the world a better place, one project and meal at a time.

Above all, she held a special place within her family. Quata was surrounded by a large and loving family who cherished her deeply. The love shared among her siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and generations of family was a beautiful reflection of just how much she meant to those who knew and loved her.

Quata is preceded in death by her parents, Antonia Flores and Eugenio Marroquin, along with her siblings and their spouses, Feliciano & Adeliada Marroquin, Celestino & Antonia Marroquin, Estevan & Linda Marroquin, Antonio & Margarita Marroquin, Elvira & Loreto Vara, Maria & Marcelino Soto, Eugenio Marroquin, Rudy Marroquin, Soila Marroquin, Antonia Marroquin, and Vincent Marroquin. She is survived by her sisters, Marta Trinidad and Rafaela Hurtado. She will also be fondly remembered by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 21, 2026, at Franklin Funeral Home, with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 11:00 am. Interment will directly follow at Floresville City Cemetery.
