Susan I. Boyd Weaver

Susan I. Boyd Weaver passed away peacefully in Floresville, Texas on August 5, 2025 at the age of 79.  She was born to Charles Boyd & Annabelle Rochester in San Antonio, Texas on March 22, 1946.  A dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Susan valued the importance of family. She took pride in raising her children and will be remembered by her steady presence, her quiet strength, and the lessons she instilled that have carried through generations.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Boyd & Annabelle Rochester; her beloved daughter, April Weaver Rangel; and eight siblings.  She is survived by her loving children, Leroy “Sonny” Weaver Jr., Cynthia Hunter Bradley, Ronda Weaver Harlow, and Lisa Weaver Hammonds Martinez.  Susan will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Robert Ray Haizlip Jr., Adriane Weaver Geist, Bryce Cameron Weaver, William Wayne Harlow, Ashley Anne Hammonds, Elizabeth Evanny Hammonds, Hope Shelby Rangel, and Brianna Irene Hammonds, and numerous great-grandchildren.  She also leaves behind her precious pets, Sassy & Rudy.  Susan truly touched all those that knew her and will be greatly missed, especially by her friend and caregiver, Janice Reeves and a host of family and friends.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at Franklin Funeral Home and a funeral service will begin at 11:00 am.  Interment will directly follow at Sutherland Springs Cemetery.
