Steven "Reno" Rivas

Steven “Reno” Rivas passed into his eternal rest in San Antonio, Texas on August 9, 2025 at the age of 48.  He was born to loving parents, May Rivas and Frank Alfaro on September 16, 1976 in Floresville, Texas.  Steven was a proud lifetime resident of Poth, Texas where he leaves behind a legacy of a love for God, dedication to his hometown, and deep care for all who knew him.

Steven was preceded in death by his father, Frank Alfaro; his niece, Angelica “Coco” Palacios; and his precious dog, Lucy.  He is survived by his beloved daughter, Angel Rivas (Elias Garcia III) and his mother, May Rivas.  He also leaves behind his siblings, Raquel “Raco” Rivas, Frank “Panchito” Rivas, Perla Sanchez, and Martín Sanchez as well as his treasured dogs, Bella and Biggs.  Steven was a bright light in the life of all who knew him, including numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

A Visitation will be held at 10:00 am at Franklin Funeral Home on August 25, 2025 and a funeral service will begin at 12:00 pm.  Interment will directly follow at the Emmanuel Assembly of God Cemetery.
