Simon Peña Jr.

Simon “Chimpo” Peña Jr. passed away peacefully in his Floresville, Texas home on March 11, 2025 at the age of 82, surrounded by his family.  Simon was born to loving parents Aurora & Simon Peña Sr in Floresville, Texas on March 30, 1942.  Simon was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.

Simon was preceded in death by his parents, Aurora & Simon Peña Sr., and his siblings, Pauline Martinez, Aurora Estrada, & Elena Perez.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Teresa M. Peña, and his loving children, Rene Peña (Rachel), Roland Peña (Denise), and Ronnie Peña (Deborah).   He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Rene Angel Peña, Christopher Peña, Analiese Gonzales, Alixzandra Peña, and Alyssa Peña, and his great-grandchildren, Cassidey Peña, Madison Peña, Reagan Peña, Vivian Peña, and Adiel Gonzales.  Simon will forever be cherished by his siblings, Rosa Velasquez (Mike) and Ruben Peña (Sylvia), along with numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A visitation will be held at 9:00 am on April 5, 2025 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  A Rosary will be recited at 10:00 am, and a Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am.  Inurnment will directly follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
