Shirley Stowe

Shirley Stowe passed into the loving arms of the Lord on Friday, November 18, 2022 in Floresville, Texas at the age of 84 years old.  Shirley was born on August 10, 1938 in Overbrook, Oklahoma to parents Minnie Lee Strebeck and Walter Donahou.  She was a longtime resident of La Vernia, Texas and former resident of San Antonio, Texas.  Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and her children, Johnnie Ray McGraw, Vickie Jo Mothershed, Donald Gene McGraw, and Sharon Maureen McGraw.  She was also preceded by her son-in-law, Jim Aleksiejczyk and her siblings, Carol Sue Sanders, Walter Wayne Donahou, Billy Ray Donahou, Michael Donahou, and Margie Donahou. Shirley was survived by her children: Shirley Ann and husband Duncan Bruce of Savoy, Texas; Regina Kay and husband Raymond Pieper of Lakehills, Texas; Karen Darlene Aleksiejczyk of Ohio; Connie Sue and husband Art Thompson of La Vernia, Texas; and Thomas Lee and wife Sherry McGraw of Leander, Texas; as well as by her sister, Melba June Jackson .  Shirley left a mark on everyone she met and will be greatly missed by numerous Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Great-Great-Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, and a host of friends.

A visitation will be held at Franklin Funeral Home on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 12:00 pm and a Funeral Service will begin at 1:00 pm.  Interment will directly follow at Floresville City Cemetery.  Pallbearers for Ms. Stowe will be James McCarthy, Aaron Thompson, Raymond Pieper, Jayden Leone, Jared Pieper, Duncan Bruce, and Thomas McGraw.
