Santos Botello Silva, Jr. passed into his eternal rest on March 3, 2026 in Round Rock, Texas, at the age of 86. He was born on August 7, 1939 in Floresville, Texas to loving parents, Ysidra and Santos Silva. Santos was a proud lifelong resident of Floresville, where he built his life, raised his family, and found himself to be a beloved member of the community throughout the years.
Santos dedicated many years of service to the Floresville Electric Light and Power System before retiring. He was known as a hardworking and dependable man who took great pride in his work. In his free time, Santos enjoyed spending time outdoors and being with friends and family. The simple moments shared together, visiting, laughing, and enjoying the company of those he treasured, were what meant the most to him.
Santos was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gloria Ramos; his parents, Ysidra and Santos Silva; his sons, Antonio Silva and Steven Silva; and his siblings, Antonio Silva, Ester Cordova, Jessie Silva, and Daniel Silva.
He is survived by his loving children, Sarah Kay McCall and her husband Frank of San Antonio, Texas, Mario Silva and his wife Rebecca of Burlington, Kentucky and Roy Silva and his wife Kathleen of Round Rock, Texas. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Christopher Castro, Eli Castro, Kevin Silva, Meghan Silva, and Preston Silva; his great-grandson, Elijah Castro; his siblings, Juan Silva, Ruben Silva, Thomas Silva, Consuelo Hernandez, Esperanza Trevino, and Jovita Silva; as well as numerous extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville, Texas, beginning at 9:30 a.m. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 10:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., also at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Cemetery.
