Rosita Mayberry passed into the loving arms of the Lord on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at her Floresville, Texas home at the age of 46. She was born on March 29, 1980, in Dallas, Texas, to Rebecca Paiz.

A longtime resident of Floresville, Rosita was a deeply loved member of her family and community. She was known for her lovely smile and a positive spirit that drew people to her. Caring, generous, and incredibly giving of herself, Rosita had a way of making those around her feel loved and cared for. She was especially protective of the people she loved and was a phenomenal woman, a loving wife and daughter, an inspiring big sister, and a very special grandmother. Children held a particularly special place in her heart, and she opened her home and her heart as a foster parent, offering love and care to children who needed it.

Rosita was also an incredibly hardworking woman. Smart, innovative, and proactive, she was the kind of person who saw what needed to be done and simply took care of it. She approached things with purpose and determination and was always willing to give of herself for the sake of others. Dependable and capable, Rosita spent much of her life caring for the people around her in ways both big and small.

In her free time, Rosita enjoyed fishing and camping and loved a good cup of coffee. She also enjoyed keeping things clean and in order and rarely seemed content to sit still when there was something that could be done. Whether enjoying the outdoors, spending time with those she loved, or simply going about the everyday routines of home, Rosita brought the same energy and care that characterized so much of her life.

Rosita was a woman of faith whose church home was Mount Moriah Baptist Church in Poth, Texas. Her faith was another meaningful part of the woman she was and the way she lived. Above all, Rosita will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her giving heart, and the tremendous love she poured into her family and those around her. Her absence will be deeply felt by her family, friends, and the community that loved her.

Rosita is preceded in death by her grandparents, Maria Paiz and Euligio Paiz. She is survived by her beloved husband, Christopher James Mayberry; her mother and step-father, Becky Paiz & Leo Barbosa; and her children, Liliana Rebecca Paiz, Chrishawn Mayberry, Dayson Mayberry, Adrian Esqueda, and Jackie Hunter. She will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Faith Rose Paiz and Adrian Michael Esqueda, Jr. Rosita is also survived by her brothers, Melvin Kennon (Jessica Saldaña), Jimmy Kennon, and Matthew Kennon; nieces, Ava Kennon, Emerly Evans, Kimbra Ortega, Gabby Ortega, Sky Ortega, Syriana Mayberry, and Anniyah Mayberry; nephews, Cameron Reed, Julian Saldana, Dom Saldana, Braden Mayberry, Jacolby Mayberry, LaDamien Evans, Ashan Mayberry, Jermane Mayberry, Darian Mayberry, Davian Mayberry, Jayden Ortega, and the twins; as well as numerous cousins, family and friends.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at Franklin Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am at Franklin Funeral Home. Interment will directly follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Kennon, Melvin Kennon, Jimmy Kennon, Christopher Franklin, Pedro Franklin, and Cameron Reed.
