Romie C. Fox Jr.

August 27, 1960 — December 5, 2024

Romie C. Fox Jr. passed into his eternal rest on December 5, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 64 years old.  Romie was born to loving parents, Doris & Romie C. Fox Sr. on August 27, 1960 in Huntington, West Virginia.  Romie was a long time resident of Pleasanton, Texas, but Ohio is originally where he called home.  Romie was a veteran of the United States Air Force where he proudly served during Desert Storm.  His time in the military led him to Oklahoma where he met the love of his life, Sandra Hutcherson.  They were married on June 24, 1983 and together they raised three beautiful children.  Romie spent his life working with his hands, whether he was fixing a diesel engine or tending to his beloved lawn and garden.  His work eventually led the Fox family to settle in Texas, where he opened his own business, Fox Truck World LLC.  Perhaps his biggest accomplishment and source of pride was earning the title of Grandpa.  Romie was the epitome of a family man and leaves behind a legacy of love and joy that will never be forgotten.

Romie is preceded in death by his parents, Doris & Romie C. Fox Sr.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra Fox, and his children, Megan Jones (Mason), Matthew Fox, and Joshua Fox (Danielle).  He is also survived by his grandchildren, Lyndon Jones and Poppy Jones, along with his soon-to-be granddaughter, Olivia Fox.  Romie will forever be remembered by his siblings, Terry Beitzel (Richard) and Eddie Trader.  He also leaves behind his furry, faithful companion, his dog Penny.  Romie truly left a mark on all who knew him and he will be forever cherished by numerous friends and family.

A visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 12, 2024 at Franklin Funeral Home in Floresville, Texas.  A Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am and a private inurnment will be held at a later date.  The Fox family wishes to thank the community for their kind words and help in keeping Romie’s beautiful memories alive.
