Robert Jack Conlee passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025, surrounded by his loving family in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 91. Robert was born to Josie Lilly Monk on August 5, 1933 in Abilene, Texas. A dedicated and hardworking man, Robert was known for his strong spirit, steady presence, and unwavering sense of duty, both in uniform and in life. Robert was a proud Retired United States Army Veteran who faithfully served his country during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He was also a man of faith and a member of Harvest Christian Church in Floresville, Texas, where his quiet strength and faith were evident to all who knew him. Though his service to the United States Army allowed him to travel the world, South Texas was always home. He was a longtime resident of San Antonio, Texas and spent his later years in Floresville. No matter where he found himself, though, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who took immense pride in his family and his military service.
Robert was preceded in death by his mother, Josie Lilly Monk, and by his devoted first wife, Mary Rubio Conlee, his dear second wife, Irene Rosales Conlee, and his loving third wife, Helen Conlee. He was also preceded by his siblings, Joy Sanford, Wanda Conlee, Leon Conlee, and LB Conlee. Robert is survived by his beloved children, Bobby Conlee (JoAnn), Don Conlee (Diana), Ed Conlee (Cecilia), Susan Conlee, and Jessica Conlee (James); and his step daughters, Bernice Casares and Susie Rosales. Robert will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Jennifer May (Larry), BJ Conlee, Michelle Conlee, Nicole Granato (Tony), Monica Delgado (JP), and Preston Conlee, and his great-grandchildren, Savannah Sandoval, Sophia Conlee, Bailey Conlee, and Elena Delgado. Robert’s steadfast and faithful legacy will be forever remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
A visitation will be held at 9:00 am at Franklin Funeral Home on July 10, 2025 and funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Robert will be laid to rest with full military honors at 1:30 pm at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
