Robert "Boy" Barrera

Robert R. Barrera, affectionately known as “Boy” to those he loved, passed into the loving arms of the Lord on May 31, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 78 years old.  He was born to loving parents, Pedro & Antonia Barrera in Floresville, Texas on February 14, 1946.  Robert was a lifetime resident of Floresville, Texas, where he raised a family with the love of his life, Mary Barrera.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Pedro & Antonia Barrera; his siblings, Tomasa Barrera, Pete Barrera, Nacho Barrera, & Luis Barrera.  He was also preceded by three great grandchildren.    Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Barrera, and his cherished children, Monica & Ernest Regalado, Becky & Hector Villegas, Rick Sr. & Margie Morones, and Mario Sr. & Joann Morones.  He will also be forever remembered by sixteen grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren, as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A visitation will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, June 7, 2024 at Franklin Funeral Home and a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and interment will directly follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.  Pallbearers are: Rick Morones Jr, Samuel Morones, Phillip Robert Morones, Mario Morones Jr, Robert Regalado, Billy Guerrero, and Dreavan Hayles.
