Rachel M. Borrego

Rachel M. Borrego, resident of San Antonio, Texas, entered eternal rest Friday, January 5, 2024 at the age of 68.  Rachel was born July 12, 1955 in Floresville, Texas, the daughter of Marcelino G. Borrego, Jr. and Adelina Martinez Borrego.  She attended McCollum High School and worked for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant. Rachel was a Mother to five children, a stunning beauty, and she will be greatly missed by her mother, daughters, sons, and family.

Rachel was preceded in death by her father, Marcelino G. Borrego, Jr. and her infant brother, Pete Borrego. Rachel is survived by her mother, Adelina M. Borrego of San Antonio; her children, Melissa Sanchez Meneses and husband Michael Meneses Jr., Melanie Sanchez and husband Rick De La Garza, Marisol Ramirez and husband Eric Ramirez, Ruben Jason Sanchez, and Joshua Adam Quintero; her grandchildren, Richard, Adrian, Noah & Brian Longoria, Michael & Judith Garza, Aiden De La Garza, Alyssa, Logan & Lana Ramirez, Jagger Joaquin, Reagan Juliette, Penelope Leontine &  J. Vincent Sanchez; her great-grandchildren, Peyton Ryan, Samuel Angel, and Kai Ruben Longoria; her brothers, Joel & Veronica Borrego, Marcelino M. Borrego, III.; nieces and nephews, Brandy, Joel, Tristan & Marina Borrego; and numerous extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville, Texas on Monday, January 15, 2024 at 10:00 am and will be followed by a rosary at 11:00am. The funeral Mass will begin at 11:30 am and interment will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Floresville, TX.
