Petra B. Barboza

Petra B. Barboza went into the loving arms of the Lord on April 12, 2025 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 67.  She was born in Karlsruhe, Germany on April 21, 1957 to Ingrid Suarez and Glen Lewis.  Petra was a longtime Floresville resident and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know her.  Known for her strong will and unwavering spirit, Petra was a deeply compassionate soul who poured herself fully into everything she loved—especially her family.

Petra was preceded in death by her parents, Ingrid & Carlos Suarez and Glen Lewis, her sisters, Gabriele Grimm and Baby Jacqueline; her grandmother, Lotte Winnichner; and her father and mother-in-law, John M. & Pauline Barboza.  She is survived by the love of her life, John Barboza, and her loving children, Christian Lewis and Andreas Michael Lewis.  She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Brandon and wife Ashley, Noah, Leland, and Abcde, and her great-granchild, Xena.  Petra will also be fondly remembered by her siblings, Rosemarie Lewis, Ingrid Kolarsch, Silke Suarez, Jorge Suarez and wife Cece, and Maria Barrera Trevino.  She will be missed by her brother and sister-in-laws, Michael & Darlene Barboza, Grace Barboza, and Rose & Andrew Quiroga, and  cousin, Jesse Segura.  Petra truly leaves a beautiful mark on this world and will be greatly missed by her nieces and nephews, Janelle, Jackie, Julian, Jenna, David, Desiree, Jessica, Sabrina, Stephanie, Peter, Nathan, Sabrina, Sivanna, Sahara, Noah, Jacqueline, Ian, Armani, Giovanni, Emma, Zayla, Deshaun, Eliyas, Rylee, Jaylynn, Litos, Alonzo, and Lorenzo.

A visitation will be held at 12:00 pm on April 30, 2025 at Franklin Funeral Home and a funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm.  Interment will directly follow at Floresville City Cemetery.
