Pete "Andrew" Leal

Pete “Andrew” Leal passed into his eternal rest on August 28, 2025 in Jourdanton, Texas at the age of 75.  He was born to loving parents, Juanita & Pete Leal Sr. in Floresville, Texas on December 30, 1949.  Pete was a devoted son, a proud father of two, a loving grandfather, and a cherished brother.  He was a longtime resident of Poth, Texas, where he raised his beloved children, Pete & Monica, and faithfully attended Emmanuel Assembly of God Church.  He also proudly served his country and was a Veteran of the United States Army, carrying that honor and dedication with him always.

Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Juanita & Pete Leal Sr.; his siblings, Elida Leal Lopez, Isaias Leal, and Sabrina Leal Garcia; his grandparents, Sebera & Alonzo Cano Leal and Juan & Juanita Longoria; and his aunts and uncles, Simon & Matilda Garza, Ben & Janie Antuna, Iraqlio & Olivia Longoria, and Mateo & Rosa Longoria.

Pete was survived by his children, Pete Gonzales Leal (Yuranis) and Monica Leal (Carlos).  He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Caitlin Benavides, Carolyn Benavides, Fernando Benavides Jr., and Gracie Andrea Leal. He is also survived by his siblings, Eloisa Garza, John Leal, James Leal, Fred Leal (Irma), and David Leal (Maria).  Pete will be forever loved and remembered by all who were blessed to know him, including numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

A visitation will be held at 9:30 am on September 5, 2025 at Emmanuel Assembly of God Church in Poth, Texas.  A funeral service will begin at 11:00 am and interment will directly follow at the Emmanuel Assembly of God Cemetery.
