Pedro "Pete" Martinez

Pedro L. Martinez, Age 82 of Falls City, Texas passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022.  Pedro was born on February 23, 1940 in Mission, Texas to Maria P. Flores and Jose C. Martinez.  As a lifetime resident of the Falls City, Texas area, Pedro leaves behind a legacy of hard-work and love.  Pedro was man of Faith who will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Maria Flores and Jose Martinez, his wife, Ruth R. Martinez; son, Gary Martinez; son-in-law, Manuel Montes; mother and father-in-law, Josefa and Rev. Jose M. Becerra; and brothers, Guadalupe Martinez & Domingo Martinez.

Pedro is survived by his children, Pete Lupe Martinez Jr. and wife Mary Alice, Norma Martinez, JoAnn Martinez, Richard J. Martinez, Robert Martinez and wife Erma, Rene Martinez and wife Teresa, Reuben Martinez and wife Maria, Rebecca Borrego and husband Michael; grandchildren, Pete L. Martinez III, Joshua M. Martinez, Corena L. Martinez, Jeremiah Martinez, Joel G. Pena, Cristian D. Pena, Yamile A. Pena, Laurine Alamillo, Manuel Montes Jr., Eric Montes, Richard J. Martinez Jr., Alexander Martinez, Jennifer A. Martinez, Paul J. Martinez, Mariah R. Vela, Joe A. Vela, Chelsea M. Martinez, Alma Rose Guijon, Rene Martinez Jr., Luis E. Martinez, Joshua A. Martinez, Jordy Guijon, Miguel R. Borrego, Myriah R. Borrego; 16 great grandchildren, and siblings, Juanita Lopez and husband Jose, Belia Garza and husband Antonio, Eugene Martinez and wife Rosie, Salvador Martinez and wife Rosalinda; as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Assembly of God Church in Poth, Texas.  A Funeral Service will begin there at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will take place at Emmanuel Assembly of God Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Pete L. Martinez III, Joel G. Pena, Manuel Mones Jr, Richard J. Martinez, Paul J. Martinez, Luis E. Martinez, Miguel R. Borrego, & Jordy Guijon.  Honorary Pallbearers are Alexander Martinez, Joshua M. Martinez, Cristian D. Pena, and Rene Martinez Jr.  The family would like to thank everyone for their kind words and condolences and ask that you help keep Pedro's memory alive in your hearts.
