Merle Charles Dobbs passed away on October 29, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 17. He was born on January 20, 2009, in San Antonio, Texas, to devoted parents, Michelle Dobbs and Brent Dobbs.

Merle was a sweet-souled young man whose gentle presence was a blessing to his loving family. Though a bit shy by nature, he cherished time spent with his siblings and had a special way with children. He found happiness in the simple things, whether swimming, riding his bike, or spending time with his beloved dogs. Although his years were far too few, Merle's place in the hearts of those who loved him will remain forever.

Merle is survived by his mother, Michelle Dobbs, and his father, Brent Dobbs and wife Mandie. He also leaves behind his siblings, Layla Dobbs, Rueben Zepeda, and Amando Zepeda, along with his grandparents, David and Sarah Dobbs, and Terry and Susan Morgan. Merle will also be remembered by his aunt and uncle, Blanca and David Ross Dobbs, Jr., and cousins, Sofia Dobbs, Ian and Ava Rocha, and David Debaillon, as well as his great-aunts, great-uncles, family, and friends. Merle was preceded in death by his uncle, Jeremy Morgan, and aunt, Amanda Dobbs.

A Rosary, Funeral Mass, and inurnment will be held in Merle’s honor, with dates and times to be announced.
