Mary Antonia Barrera passed into the loving arms of the Lord on March 18, 2026, in her Floresville, Texas home, surrounded by her family at the age of 79. She was born on January 22, 1947, in Floresville, Texas. A lifelong resident of Floresville, Mary was a familiar face to so many and a deeply cherished member of her community.

Mary was a woman of strength, spirit, and unmistakable presence. She was full of life and had a love for all things sparkly and beautiful. She was deeply loved by her family and treasured by her many friends, leaving behind memories filled with laughter, warmth, and connection. She was also a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where her faith remained an important part of her life. Above all, Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend who took great pride in her family and the life she built around them.

Mary was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert R. Barrera; her parents, Thomasa and Esteban Guerrero; her sisters, Thelma Hudson and Rosela Guerrero; and her grandchildren, Aiden Daniel Regalado, Joshua Martin Maldonado, and Adriell Dean Garcia.

She is survived by her loving children, Ricky Star Morones (Margarita), Mario Morones (JoAnn), Becky Villegas (Hector), and Monica Regalado (Ernest). She also leaves behind her 16 grandchildren and her 34 great-grandchildren. Mary will be deeply missed by her siblings, Steve Guerrero, Elodia Martinez, and Rosalie Ervin; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will continue to cherish her memory.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, beginning at 5:00 p.m. at Franklin Funeral Home, with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will directly follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Drevan Hayles, Robert Regalado, Samuel Morones, Ricky Morones, Jr., Phillip Morones, and Mario Morones, Jr. Honorary pallbearer will be Ronnie Peña.
