Martin "Marty" C. Rodriguez

Martin “Marty” C. Rodriguez passed away on November 12, 2023 in Jourdanton, Texas at the age of 46 years old.  Marty was born to loving parents, Olivia & Vicente G. Rodriguez in Floresville, Texas on April 12, 1977.  He was a South Texas native, calling Floresville, San Antonio, and Pleasanton, Texas home throughout his life.  Marty was a 1995 Honor Graduate of Floresville High School and went on to earn an Associates of Liberal Arts Degree from North West Vista College.  Marty leaves behind a legacy of love, family, and joy.  He loved fiercely, especially when it came to his dogs, Chica and Sadie.  His ability to put a smile on his family’s face was matched by no other.

Marty was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Olivia C. Rodriguez.  He is survived by his father, Vicente Rodriguez and his siblings, Hector C. Rodriguez (Laura Amador), Humberto “Beto” C. Rodriguez (Rebecca), Hernando C. Rodriguez (Rachel), Vincent C. Rodriguez, Jr., Daniel C. Rodriguez (Sheila), Jimmie C. Rodriguez (Roxanne), and Lora Ann Vasquez (Rudy, Jr.).  He will also be dearly missed by his best-friends, Robert Casillas and Renee Juchnik and his former sister-in-law, Irma Castro.  He truly left a mark on everyone he knew, especially his nieces and nephews.  He cherished the moments he spent drawing and talking with them.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  The Rodriguez family would like to thank the community for their kind words and help in keeping Marty’s beautiful memories alive.
