Martha Almand

Martha Almand passed into the loving arms of the Lord on August 23, 2025 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 82.  She was born in White Rock, New Mexico to loving parents, Mary and Bitoney Nez Begay on June 26, 1943.  Martha was a longtime resident of Floresville, Texas, where she shared a beautiful life with her husband, Wayne Almand, raising their family in a home centered on love and faith. She embraced her calling as a stay-at-home mother, devoting herself wholeheartedly to her family. Martha’s favorite pastime was reading her Bible, and in those quiet moments she drew strength, comfort, and wisdom. Through her grace and devotion, Martha will forever be a gentle presence whose faith and love will continue to guide her family always.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Mary & Bitoney Nez Begay.  She is survived by her beloved husband, Wayne Almand, and her loving children, Bobbi Jo Hanus, Tony Almand, Loyd Almand, and Jim Almand.  She will also be forever cherished by her grandchildren, Allison Lewis, Madison Hanus, Mackenzie Hanus, and Samantha Almand.
