Marcos G. Salas

Marcos G. Salas passed into the loving arms of the Lord on April 29, 2025 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 82.  He was born to loving parents, Ricarda & Juan B. Salas Sr. on December 18, 1942 in Floresville, Texas, where he was born and raised.  Marcos was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, who lived a life rich in love, faith, and community. He was a proud and faithful member of El Mesias United Church of Floresville, where he found strength, purpose, and fellowship.  A lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Marcos rarely missed a game and loved cheering on his team with family and friends. But more than anything, he loved being surrounded by those he held dear.

Marcos was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rosemary Salas; his parents, Ricarda & Juan B. Salas Sr.; and his siblings, Elvira Salas, Alfredo Salas, Raymond Salas, Robert Salas, and Steve Salas.  He is survived by his children, Joe Salas, Marcos Salas Jr., and Ann Salas.  Marcos also leaves behind his grandchildren, Amber Ximenez (Victoria) & Marina Tejeda (Joan), and his great-grandchildren, Adriel Escobedo, Elias Escobedo, and Leo Escobedo.  Marcos will also be fondly remembered by his siblings, Daniel Salas (Armida), Moses Salas (Maxine), and John Salas Jr. (Irene).  Marcos truly touched the lives of all who knew him, including numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
