Lynda Joanne Kurtz passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas, at the age of 64. She was born on May 7, 1962, in Falfurrias, Texas, to Barbara Meeks and Leslie “Sonny” Kurtz, Jr.

Lynda spent much of her life on the farm and was no stranger to working with her hands. She enjoyed the outdoors, whether she was holding the reins of a horse or a fishing rod in her hands.

Lynda is preceded in death by her father, Leslie “Sonny” Kurtz, Jr.; mother, Barbara Meeks; and sister, Wanda Kurtz She is survived by her son, Aaron Bentley. She will also be remembered by her grandchildren, Finn Bentley, Theo Bentley, and Wren Bentley. She also leaves behind her siblings, Robyn Lindsey, Shane Lindsey, and Tony Lindsey, as well as her cousin, Cary Cochran, and many other family and friends.

A private service will be held at a later date.
