Lydia Cervantes Ramirez peacefully passed away on July 12, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 83. Born on March 3, 1941 in Poth, Texas, Lydia was the cherished daughter of Otilia and Alfredo Cervantes. Throughout her life, she called Poth, Houston, and San Antonio home, leaving an indelible mark wherever she went.
Lydia was preceded in death by her parents, Otilia and Alfredo Cervantes; her twin sister, Eloisa Cervantes; and her siblings, Maria Candelaria Guevara, Alfred Cervantes, Abel Cervantes, and Santos Cervantes. She is survived by her beloved husband, Rodolfo “Rudy” Ramirez, and her children, Isabelle Rodriguez (Fernando), Elizabeth Ramirez, Yvette Florentino, and Leslie Ramirez. Lydia also leaves behind a legacy of love through her six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She will be deeply missed by her siblings, Alferio Cervantes, Richard Cervantes, and Eloisa Griego, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Lydia’s life was a testament to kindness and unwavering love for her family. Her memory will forever be treasured in the hearts of all who knew her.
A visitation will be held at 9:30 am at Emmanuel Assembly of God Church in Poth, Texas. A service will be held at 10:30 am and interment will directly follow at Emmanuel Assembly of God Cemetery.
