Lydia "Yaya" Dubose

Lydia “Yaya” DuBose went into the loving arms of the Lord on February 28, 2024 in Floresville, Texas at the age of 73 years old.  She was born to loving parents Manuel & Bertha Antuna in Poth, Texas on May 22, 1950.  Lydia was a proud lifetime resident of Poth, Texas where she raised her family with the love of her life, James DuBose.

Lydia was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel & Bertha Antuna, and her brother, Saul Antuna.  She was also preceded by her nieces and nephews, Steven Antuna, Christina Antuna, and Melissa Antuna.  She is survived by her beloved husband, James DuBose, and her beloved children, Jaime Eduardo DuBose (Andrea), Cedric Robinson (Angel), Madonna Walker (Thaddiaus), Tokina Anfield (Charles), and Monique Pearson.  She will also be forever remembered by her thirteen grandchildren as well as by her siblings, Gilbert Antuna (Minnie), Estella Valadez, Sarah Antuna, and Bertha Butler (Michael).  Lydia truly touched the lives of everyone she knew and will be forever cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.

A visitation will be held at 9:30 am on March 9, 2024 at Emmanuel Assembly of God in Poth, Texas.  A funeral service will begin at 10:30 am.  Interment will be held at 9:00 am on March 12, 2024 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas.
