Lucas V. "Cheechee" Treviño

July 26, 1944 — December 6, 2025

Floresville, Texas

Lucas V. “Cheechee” Treviño peacefully passed into his eternal rest, surrounded by his family, on December 6, 2025 in his Floresville, Texas home at the age of 81. Lucas was born to Celia Treviño Silva & Lucas Narvaiz Treviño on July 26, 1944 in Floresville, Texas. Lucas lived a life rich with simple joys, hard work, and the company of those he loved. He was an avid raccoon hunter and a proud raiser of roosters. Known affectionately as “the Rifleman,” a nickname gifted to him by his dear friend Pete Barrera, Lucas made countless memories traveling across Texas with friends and sharing stories that always seemed to bring people together. He enjoyed tending to his yard, savoring tacos from all his favorite local spots, and gathering with his church community at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. More than anything, he cherished the moments spent listening and talking with family and friends, moments when his warmth and good company made everybody feel welcome.

Lucas was preceded in death by his mother, Celia Treviño Silva, his father, Lucas Narvaiz Treviño, and his step-father, Francisco Silva. He was also preceded by his beloved son, Blaine Treviño, and his sister, Gloria A. Treviño. Lucas is survived by his loving children, Mario L. Treviño (Vivica), Vicente Treviño (Michelle), and Nina Treviño (Rene). He also leaves behind his siblings, Irma Treviño (Robert), David Treviño, Eligio Treviño, and Mary Hill. Lucas will be forever cherished by his grandchildren, Blaine Treviño, Jr., Corey Krent Treviño, Aissia Cruz (Christopher), and Alexis Treviño, and his great-grandchildren, Bella Treviño, Avery Treviño, and Ren Cruz. Lucas truly treasured his family including his favorite cousin, Richard Treviño, his nephew, Joe Delgado, his daughter-in-law, Thelma Treviño, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.
