"Little" Allen Monroe Dennis

November 14, 1978 — April 2, 2025

“Little” Allen Monroe Dennis passed into his eternal rest in his San Antonio, Texas home on April 2, 2025 at the age of 46.  He was born in San Antonio on November 14, 1978 to Bobby Dennis and Kaye Smoot.  Little Allen was a lifetime resident of San Antonio, Texas where he filled the lives of those around him with warmth, laughter, and unwavering love.  He had a lifelong passion for sports, with a special love for the Dallas Cowboys.  Whether he was watching a game, sharing stats, or proudly wearing his team’s colors, his enthusiasm was infectious and brought people together.  He was a cherished son, grandson, brother, uncle, and cousin, known for his kind heart, quick wit, and ability to make everyone feel at home.

Allen is preceded in death by his grandfather, Jim Dennis; his grandparents, Home and Agnes Smith; his step-father, Billy Smoot; his uncles, Donald Dennis and Dale Dennis; his great uncle, Wayne Dennis; his great-grandparents, Charlie and Mary Rehfeld; and his great-grandmother, Momma Eula.  He is survived by his Grandma Liz and step-grandfather, “Big” Allen; his father, Bobby Dennis and step-mother, Yvonne; and his mother, Kaye Smoot.    He will also be forever cherished by his siblings, Laura Robbins and husband, Chris, BJ Smoot and family, Sheranna Smoot, and step-siblings, Jacob, Jason, and Vanessa.  Allen also leaves behind his aunt and uncle, Darlene and Bill Dennis, and his cousins, Billy Dennis, Steven Dennis, Brian Dennis, David Dennis and wife, Kirsten, along with their children, Caleb and Gabby.  He also will be missed by his great-aunts, Lorene Ledwig and Mary Sefcik.  Allen’s memory will forever be carried on by all who knew him, including his good friends, John, Noe, and Josh, and numerous family and friends.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.  The Dennis family thanks the community for their outpouring of love is brought comfort by knowing his memory will live on in the joy he brought to others and the many lives he touched along the way.
