Linda Ortiz passed away on May 17, 2026 at the age of 63. She was born on June 28, 1962. Linda was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose loving heart and unforgettable personality will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Linda had an undeniable spark for life and brought laughter, strength, and excitement wherever she went. More than anything, Linda loved her family and cherished the time she spent with those closest to her. She was also widely known for her passion and talent for pool, proudly competing as a member of the Country Shooters Pool League and earning the title of multi-year San Antonio Women’s Pool Champion. Outside of pool, Linda enjoyed darts, karaoke, and spending time surrounded by the many friends and loved ones she gathered throughout her life.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Amelia Martinez; and by her siblings, Mike Martinez, Jr., Delia Burnett, David Martinez, Rosanne Martinez, and Xavier Martinez. She is survived by her loving husband, Juan R. Ortiz; her children, Marissa Ortiz-Canseco, Juan Ortiz, Jr., and Paul Anthony Ortiz; her cherished grandchildren, Fernando Ortiz Canseco III, Faith Canseco, Maksim Ever Canseco, and Jayvian Anthony Ramirez-Hons; her siblings, Jose Pilar Martinez (Ofelia) and Armando Martinez (Adriana); her devoted caregiver and friend, Nancy Lopez; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.
A visitation will be held at 6:00 pm on Sunday, May 24, 2026 at Franklin Funeral Home with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, May 25, 2026 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will directly follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Juan Ortiz Jr., Fernando Ortiz Canseco III, Jayvian Anthony Ramirez-Hons, Michael Anthony Martinez, Jesse Courvier, Xavier Martinez Jr., Jose Martinez Jr., and Abraham Herrera
