Leroy “Sonny” Weaver, Jr. passed away on February 4, 2026, in his Stockdale, Texas home, surrounded by those he loved, at the age of 63. He was born on November 17, 1962, in Harbor City, California to Susan Boyd Weaver and Leroy Weaver, Sr.

Sonny was a man of genuine passion and deep convictions. A jack of all trades, he spent many years working as a truck driver and, in his younger days, enjoyed racing stock cars. That same sense of devotion extended into his family life as well and he cared deeply for his parents, sisters, and those he loved.

Sonny was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Susan Boyd Weaver, and his sister, April Weaver Rangel. He is survived by his loving father, Leroy Weaver, Sr., and his sisters, Cynthia Hunter Bradley, Ronda Weaver Harlow, and Lisa Weaver Hammonds Martinez. He also leaves behind his good friend, Janice Reyes, his cousin, Harold Benner, and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026 at 9:30 am at Franklin Funeral Home and a funeral service will begin at 10:00 am. Interment will directly follow at Sutherland Springs City Cemetery.
