Leonora Calderon

Leonora DeLeon Calderon passed away on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2025. She was born on April 27, 1933, to Josefita Martinez and Antonio DeLeon in Floresville, Texas. She was a lifelong resident of Floresville and known to friends and family by many names including Leonor, LaLeona, and Tiger Lady.

Leonora was preceded in death by her mother, Josefita Martinez DeLeon; father Antonio DeLeon; husband Margarito Calderon Sr.; son Margarito Calderon Jr.; brothers Raymond, Casimiro, Alfredo, Antonio, and Valentine; and sister Adelina Limon.

She is survived by her daughters, Gloria Sendejo and husband Daniel Sendejo Sr., Oralia “Lolly” Calderon and fiancé Leandro Trinidad Sr., and Sylvia Clark and husband Tony Clark; daughter in-law Gloria Calderon (Margarito); grandchildren Daniel Sendejo Jr. and wife Terry, Annette Sanchez and husband Frank, Sandra Sendejo, Dennis Sendejo, Cynthia Caldeon and Pete Rocha, John Albert Calderon, Margarito “Flaco” Calderon III, Johnny Ray Nieto, Kristy Crawford and husband Matt, Destanie Elena Nieto and fiancé David, Delilah Perez and Jesse Flores, Alex Lee Perez and Brandy Harlos, Donna Marie and Robert Ramirez, Joshua Perez and wife Krystal, Chezare Perez and wife Erica, and Desiree Perez and Joseph Castillo; 49 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation was held on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 9 a.m., with a Rosary at 10:30 a.m., in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville.  A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the church.  Interment followed at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Floresville.
