Leonardo Padilla Courvier

November 2, 1970 — May 14, 2025

Leonardo “Leonard” Padilla Courvier was born on November 2, 1970, in Floresville, Texas, to Matias S. Courvier Jr. and Hipolita “Paula” Padilla. On Wednesday, May 14, 2025 in Odessa, TX he went home to be with the Lord.  From a young age, Leonard was full of life and laughter. As a child, he had an adventurous spirit and a mischievous smile that hinted at the fun and humor he would carry with him throughout his life.

During his teenage years, Leonard was known for his quick wit, loyalty to his friends, and a knack for finding just the right amount of trouble. He had a way of making every moment memorable and always found a way to bring laughter, even in the most unexpected times.

As an adult, Leonard found joy in the simple pleasures of life from his world-famous enchiladas to playing games with family and friends. He was notorious for accusing others of cheating, although we all know who the real culprit was. His competitive spirit was matched only by his sense of humor.

He was a devoted father to his son Jesse and a proud, loving grandfather to his grandson Jordan. Leonard also found a second family and home in Odessa, where he built lasting relationships and shared his life with those who became just as close to him as kin. His wife Toni was by his side for the past 19 years and cared for him to the end. He was blessed with 3 bonus sons, George, “Tatte”, and “Bubba” plus 11 bonus grandchildren who affectionately called him “Nay Nay” and lastly, but not least his 2 fur babies Little One and Luna.

He was employed by Precision Catalyst in Odessa.  He loved his job and often spoke very highly of the company and his work family.

Leonard leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all who knew him.

He is survived by his mother, Paula Courvier, his son Jesse Fernando Courvier, and his grandson Jordan Courvier.  He also leaves behind his wife Toni, his bonus sons George Galindo, Jr., Jonathon “Tatte” Galindo (Christine), Greg “Bubba” Galindo and 11 bonus grandchildren who called him “Nay Nay.”  He is survived also by his sisters: Orfelinda “Orfie” Courvier, Barbara Montgomery (Arion), Noelia Courvier (Dionicio), Ernestina “Tina” Courvier, and Marcelliana “Marcie” Courvier, plus numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Leonard is preceded in death by his father Matias S. Courvier Jr. and daughter Katryna Marie Courvier, brothers Michael Courvier and Xavier “Herbie” Courvier, and sister Paula Courvier.
