Julia Ann Williams Mattke

Julia Ann Williams Mattke passed away peacefully on Friday, November 11, 2022 at her home in La Vernia, Texas at the age of 89 years old.  She was born in Sutherland Springs, Texas on July 21, 1933 to parents, Brown Conroe Williams and Kathleen Apless Geisendorff. Julia was a longtime resident of La Vernia, Texas and was a previous resident of San Antonio, Texas.  Julia was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Paul R. Mattke as well as by her Daughter Marilynn Schmidt, five sisters, and one brother.  She was survived by her daughter, Cindy Schmidt and husband David of Muldoon, Texas and by her grandchildren, David III, Michael Jr, Jonathan, & Natalie.  She was also survived by her great-grandchildren, Christian, Olivia, Kayla, Jessica, Destinee, Carolynn, Carrigan, and Aubrey as well as by her great-great-grandson, Brantley. Julia left a mark on everyone she met and will be truly missed and cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.

A private interment will be held at a later date.  Julia’s family would like to thank everyone for their kind words and sentiments during this time. Mama/Grammer will be deeply missed till we are together again. I am grateful to God for allowing me to care for, tend too, and be with you for these past few months. I will treasure those moments for as long as I live. I love you with all my heart and soul my precious mother. I love you, Cindy
