Juanita G. Camarillo

Juanita G. Camarillo passed into her Eternal rest on May 10, 2024 in Floresville, Texas at the age of 91 years old.  She was born to loving parents, Margarito & Catarina Gonzales Garcia in Poth, Texas on March 2, 1933.  Juanita was a lifetime resident of South Texas and was a proud member of both the Poth and Floresville communities.  She loved the outdoors and could often be found working with her hands, making her garden beautiful.  Juanita was known by allas the definition of a selfless woman who spent her life as a caregiver of all those who needed her.  Her kindness and willingness to always step in and do what is right is a legacy that will never be forgotten.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Margarito & Catarina Gonzales Garcia and her beloved husband, Fred “Lico” Camarillo.  She was also preceded by her son, Abel Valadez, her brother, Alfredo Garcia, and her step-sister, Oralia Gamez.  Juanita is survived by her loving children, Bernice Camarillo, Fred Camarillo Jr, and Leticia Saenz (Albert).  She will be forever missed by her grandchildren, Ericka Garcia, Eric Garcia, Derek Garcia, Salvador Garcia Jr, Anthony Garcia, and Mike A. Nava Jr as well as by her great-grandchildren, Juan F. Munoz Jr, Ma’kaela Jane Garcia, Ember Rose Fletcher, Mark Fletcher, Aizlynn Garcia, Damien Garcia, Victoria Leal, and Noah Leal.  She also leaves behind her siblings, Cecilio Garcia and Stella Duran, as well as her sister-in-laws, Alice Marin, Margaret De La O (Gilbert), and Mary Barrera, and brother-in-laws, Joe Camarillo (Ruby), Juan Camarillo, and David Camarillo.  Juanita was a wonderful person who truly left a mark on everyone she knew, including her honorary grandchildren, Valysa & Ariel Vincent, and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

A visitation will be held at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday, May 14, 2024.  A Rosary will be recited at 10:30 am and Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am.  Interment will directly follow at Floresville City Cemetery.  Pallbearers are: Eric Garcia, Derek Garcia, Salvador Garcia Jr, Anthony Garcia, Juan Munoz, and Mark Camarillo.
