Joyce Halbardier Dylla

Joyce Halbardier Dylla went into the loving arms of the Lord on August 16, 2024, in Poth, Texas at the age of 82 years old.  She was born to loving parents, Robert (Bob) & Inez Halbardier in San Antonio, Texas on December 22, 1941.  Joyce was a longtime resident of Adkins, Texas, where she married the love of her life, Earl Jerome Dylla on February 7, 1959, and where together they raised their family.  She spent her later years in McCoy, Texas.  Joyce was a woman of Faith and active member of The Annunciation Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in St. Hedwig, Texas and Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Poth, TX.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Earl Jerome Dylla; her parents, Robert & Inez Halbardier; her brother, Ronnie Halbardier; and her brother-in-law, Wayne Gunn.  She is survived by her beloved children, Glenn Dylla (Karla) and Darren Dylla (Dawn).  She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Beau Dylla, Drew Dylla, Devon Johnson (Dylan), and Dane Dylla as well as her great-grandchild, Sunny Johnson.  Joyce will forever be remembered by her siblings, Robert Halbardier (Margie) and Judy Gunn as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.

Joyce attended Sam Houston High School in San Antonio and spent most of her professional career working in the banking industry for San Antonio Savings Association and Wells Fargo.  She had a very successful career where she rose to the position of Assistant Regional Vice President.  Joyce retired from banking and enjoyed spending her golden years working in her yard, her flower beds, her vegetable garden, and being a grandma.

A private Mass will be held at St. Jerome’s Catholic Church and a private interment will be held at St. Jerome’s Catholic Cemetery.
