Josefita "Josie" Reyes

Josefita “Josie” Reyes passed away in San Antonio, Texas on September 11, 2024 at the age of 55 years old.  Josie was born to loving parents, Carmin & Geronimo Hernandez Sr in San Antonio, Texas on August 4, 1969.  Josie spent her early years in Floresville, Texas, but her heart was in Poteet, Texas, where she raised her family.  Josie was a devoted mother to her beloved children and left a legacy of kindness and love that will be cherished by her family and friends.

Josie was preceded in death by her parents, Carmin & Geronimo Hernandez Sr, and her brother, Geronimo Hernandez Jr.  She is survived by her children, Michelle Reyes, Angel Reyes Jr, Joshua Cesar Reyes, Carmen Susie Reyes, Jose Martin Reyes, and William Jehovani Reyes, and her partner, Jose Huerta Avitia.  She also leaves behind her siblings, Fidencio Hernandez, Teresa Vidal (Ramiro), Isabella Meis (Craig), Susie Hernandez (Robert Garcia), and Francisco Hernandez (Michelle).  Josie was a beautiful light in this world and will be forever cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A visitation will be held at 9:00 am on September 28, 2024 at Franklin Funeral Home.  A Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 am.  Inurnment will directly follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  The Reyes family would like to thank the community for their kind words and help in keeping Josie’s beautiful memories alive.
