Johnny "Perule" P. Martinez Sr.

Johnny “Perule” P. Martinez Sr. passed away at his residence in Floresville, Texas on October 14, 2024, at the age of 84, surrounded by his beloved family. Perule loved fishing, hunting, and attending high school sporting events. He was a devoted parishioner at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a cherished father, grandfather, and husband. He worked for Falstaff Brewing and retired as a lineman from FELPS after 33 years of service.

Perule was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rosemary Estrada Martinez, his mother, Elvira Pena Martinez, his daughter, Angela Martinez, his sister, Angelica Spies, his step-mother, Maria Martinez, and his step-father, Clemente Garcia. He is survived by his loving children, Nicanor “Cano” Martinez, Johnny “Pinta” Martinez Jr., Isabel “Chavel” Martinez, Rosemary “Bosie” Martinez, and Richard “Monstro” Martinez. He will also be forever cherished by his grandchildren, Veronica, Gena, Johnny III, Larry, Nysa, Adam, Johnny, Debbie, Aimee, Joshua, Simon, Melissa, Chris, and Charlie, as well as his great-grandchildren, Amelia, Max, Italia, Aria, Addison, Daniel, Gabby, Jazmin, David, Avier, Marcus, RJ, Jezebel, Ryan, Adain, Realynn, Reagan, and Liam. Perule will truly be missed by those who loved him, including his nieces, the Spies girls, his beloved fur-baby, “Ranger”, and everyone in his community who was blessed to know him.
