Jimmie Dowd

Jimmie Dowd passed into his eternal rest in Floresville, Texas on September 22, 2025 at the age of 90. He was born to loving parents, Emma & Robert Dowd in Oakville, Texas on October 24, 1934. Jimmie was a longtime resident of Floresville, Texas where he spent his later years with the love of his life, Dixie Dowd. Jimmie was a dedicated rancher and talented welder who built his life on hard work and integrity. He also proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army, carrying that sense of duty and discipline throughout his life.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his wife, Dixie Dowd; his daughter, Katie Rain Dowd-Curby; his parents, Emma & Robert Dowd; and his siblings, Thomas L. Dowd, Robert W. Dowd, Jr., Roberta McGriff, Mary Duckett, and Patricia Johnson. He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as many cherished friends.
