Jesse Lopez Iii

Jesse L. Lopez , III passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the age of 40 years old. He was born October 12, 1981, in San Antonio, TX to his parents Jesse Jr. & Janie L. Lopez of Floresville, TX, who he lovingly kept on their toes.  Since the day Jesse was born, excited to start living life, he took a breath too early causing him to stay in the hospital an extra week.  Like his big brother Jamie, he was always on the go, wanting to be included in everything and be the center of attention.

Jesse participated in various sports growing up track, basketball, baseball and football.  He enjoyed trying new hobbies and loved working on vehicles with his dad and loved classic cars just like his parents.  After high school he took an interest in the family business, Lopez Exterminating and obtained his pest control operators license.  He later meet and married his wife Raquel Garcia in 2003 with whom they welcomed the birth of their first born Jesse Javier Garcia Lopez IV.  Later, he welcomed is second son, Jaxson Bryce Lopez. He also helped with the other family business, Raquel Homes.

Like many of us do, Jesse had challenges and hurdles in life.  He survived being a victim of a  drive by shooting and also survived losing his wife and soulmate, Raquel Garcia.  Jesse always looked at life in a positive way.  He enjoyed having get togethers with family and friends partying and having a good time.  He tried to keep everyone happy, this was his calling he was an excellent listener and enjoyed talking to people.  We all have our individual memories of Jesse but it is safe to say we will all remember his contagious big smile.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Raquel Lopez and his grandparents, Isabel & Pedro Lucio and Aurora & Jesse Lopez Sr. He is survived by his loving parents, Jesse Jr. & Janie L. Lopez of Floresville, his children, Jesse Javier "J.J." Garcia Lopez IV & Jaxson Bryce Lopez of Floresville, and his brother, Jamie L. "Jammer" Lopez and partner Don Collier of San Antonio.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, 9/16/2022 in the Franklin Funeral Home Chapel at 9:00 am.  A Rosary will follow at 11:30 pm at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.  The funeral Mass will begin at 12:00 pm and interment will directly follow at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery.
