Jeff David Gamez Sr. entered the spirit world on September 1, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. He was born in Floresville, Texas to Ruby Lee Gamez (née Robles) and Albert Gamez. 

He attended Floresville High School, where his favorite class was building trades. He enjoyed this enriching education with his lifelong best friend José. Jeff married the love of his life, Eva Cadena, in 1975, with whom he had a set of twins. He held a variety of jobs throughout his life: he picked pecans, hunted javelina, worked at a meat market and in construction, and inspected machinery at oil refineries. He was known for his passion for barbequeing, hunting, and pulling pranks at work. 

Jeff died at Mission Trail Hospital in San Antonio, TX, after doing his very best to stay alive. He is preceded in death by his wife, Eva Gamez, his mother, Ruby Gamez, and his brother, Juan Alberto. He is survived by his sons, Jeff David Gamez, Jr. and Zay Gamez, his sisters Maria Trinidad, Nancy Bonilla, and Susan Trinidad, his brother Albert Gamez II, and his dad, Albert Gamez I.
