Jane Johnson

Jane Johnson went into the loving arms of the Lord on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 80 years old.  She was born to loving parents, Ramon & Mercedes Garcia on March 7, 1944 in Poth, Texas, where she was born and raised.   She met the love of her life, Billy Johnson, while in California.  On January 24, 1967 they were married and spent every moment they could together, cultivating a legacy of love, family, and faith.  Jane was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, spreading joy and warmth where she could.  She often spent her spare time doing what she loved best, antiquing and collecting.  Jane was also a woman of faith and proud member of the Northview Baptist Church.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Ramon & Merecedes Garcia; her beloved son, Marty Johnson; and four sisters and brothers.  She is survived by her husband of nearly 58 years, Billy Johnson, and her son, Jody Johnson.  She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Pierce Johnson, Jeremiah Johnson, and Mercedes Johnson.  Jane will be greatly missed by her siblings, Mary Theresa Guevara, Irene Stavinoha, Gloria Farley, Rudy Garcia, Gilbert Garcia, and Albert Garcia as well as by her daughter in law, Dawn Johnson.  Jane truly left a mark on all who knew her and she will be forever cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A visitation will be held at 9:00 am at Northview Baptist Church on January 24, 2025.  A memorial service will begin at 11:00 am.  The Johnson family would like to thank the community for their kind words and help in keeping Jane’s beautiful memories alive.
