Hortensia R. Garcia

Hortensia R. Garcia passed away on January 10, 2024 in La Vernia, Texas at the age of 85 years old.  She was born in Allende, Mexico on November 18, 1938 to loving parents, Benancia Ramirez Alvarez & Carlos Ramirez.  Hortensia was a longtime resident of Floresville, Texas where she raised a family with the love of her life, Eusebio M. Garcia.  She also held Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses close to her heart and was a devoted member of the congregation.

Hortensia was preceded in death by her parents, Benancia Ramirez Alvarez & Carlos Ramirez, and her siblings, Alta Gracia Ramirez Flores, Esther Ramirez Medina, Olga Ramirez Guerrero, Cruz Ramirez, Alfredo Ramirez, and Carlos Ramirez.  She was also preceded by her step-son, Gerard Garcia, and her granddaughter, Rachel Garcia.  Hortensia is survived by her beloved husband, Eusebio M. Garcia, and son, Juan Antonio Garcia and wife, Lizeth.  She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Arline Garcia, Abigail Garcia, and Jonathan Garcia.  Hortensia is also survived by her sisters, Amelia Ramirez Cervantez and Maria Elena Ramirez Lopez, and will forever be cherished by her niece, Marlynda Rodriguez.  Hortensia truly left a mark on everyone she met and will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

A Graveside service will be held at 10:15 am on January 29, 2024 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, Shelter No. 3, in San Antonio, Texas.
