Gilbert Brown

Gilbert “Gibo”  Brown passed into his Eternal Rest on October 29, 2024 in Seguin, Texas at the age of 72 years old.  He was born to loving parents Henry & Lydia Brown in Floresville, Texas on September 1, 1952.  Gilbert was a lifetime resident of Floresville, Texas where he raised his beloved children.  He was a man of Faith and a proud Vietnam era United States Army Veteran.

Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents, Henry & Lydia Brown; his sons, George Anthony Brown & Robert Lee Perez; and his brothers, Henry “Henrito” Brown & Hector Brown.  He was survived by his beloved wife, Marie Brown, and his children, Gilbert Brown (Kathy), Charles Brown (Michelle), Jennifer Brown (Alex), Robert “Bobby” Brown (Brandi), Michael Brown (Maria), Adrian Brown (Shandi), Christina Leal (Casey), John Gilbert Brown, Monica Garcia, Basilio Garcia, Arnulfo Hernandez Jr (Nohely), Michael A. Perez (Lillie), and John Paul Perez (Cassandra).  He will also be forever cherished by forty-four grandchildren,  eight great-grandchildren, and his siblings, Sandra Ibrom, Venicia Monita (Mauro), Ronda Henry (Damon), Joe Barrera (Leslie), and Saul Bosquez.  Gilbert leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and family and he will be fondly remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends.

A Visitation will be held at 10:00 am on November 14, 2024 at Franklin Funeral Home and a Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am.  Interment will be held at 1:45 pm at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
