Obituary

Gail Lynn Combs passed into her eternal rest on June 12, 2026, at her home in Floresville, Texas, at the age of 77. She was born on January 26, 1949, in Coatesville, Pennsylvania. Though she spent her later years in Floresville, her roots remained firmly planted in Pennsylvania, where she raised her family and built a life filled with love, hard work, and cherished memories.

Gail had a love for life and lived each day to the fullest. She dedicated many years to serving her community as a nurse. Gail found true joy in the simple things in life, cooking and baking for her loved ones, tending to her garden, and tenderheartedly caring for her beloved pets. In her later years, she was blessed to make precious memories with her daughter, volunteering at Artable Curiosities, and proudly joining “The Fun Girl's Club.” The memories she created and the love she shared with family, friends, and pets alike will be treasured by those who knew her.

Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Ora Lee and George Greenfield; and by her beloved pets, Sassy, Brandy, Furbie, Oscar, Earl, Willie, Otis, and Milo. She is survived by her loving husband, Bob Combs. She leaves behind her children, Gwen Metz, Erin Coulter, and Adam Coffinberger, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Jacob Metz, Katherine Herrington, Hope Coffinberger, Hannah (Aspen) Coulter, Amber Wunderlich, and Stefen Dahlgren. Gail is also survived by her dear friends, Esmerelda and Robert Sanchez; her beloved cats, Carl and Felix; and numerous family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Gail's life will be remembered through the love she shared and the many happy memories she created with those fortunate enough to know her.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has offered kind words, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Your thoughtfulness and compassion have been deeply appreciated.
