Frances Dickey

Frances Dickey peacefully entered into her eternal rest on November 25, 2025, in Floresville, Texas, at the age of 80. She was born to Odas and Elizabeth O’Brien on December 25, 1944, in Orange Grove, Texas. A longtime resident of Poth, Texas, she raised her daughter, Donna, alongside her husband, W.R. Morris, the love of her life. Together, they built a life full of laughter, love, and cherished memories. In the years after W.R.’s passing, Frances was blessed to find love again with her husband, James R. Dickey, who brought companionship and joy to her in her later years.

Frances was a woman of spirit and character: bold, strong-willed, and full of life. She had a sharp wit, a generous heart, and a way of making everyone feel welcome. Family gatherings, celebrations, and everyday moments were brighter because of her laughter, warmth, and unwavering devotion.

Frances was preceded in death by her husbands, W.R. Morris and James R. Dickey; her parents, Odas & Elizabeth O’Brien; and numerous siblings. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Donna Kunkel and her husband, Paul. She also leaves behind her cherished grandson, Eric Kunkel, and her sister, Margie Dworaczyk. Frances will also be forever cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A visitation will be held at 9:00 am on December 6, 2025 at Franklin Funeral Home and a service will begin at 10:00 am. Interment will directly follow at the Nixon City Cemetery.
