Felipe Gonzalez

Felipe Gonzalez went into the loving arms of the Lord on Monday, January 16, 2023 at the age of 82 years old in Floresville, Texas.  Felipe was born on May 9, 1940 in Weslaco, Texas to loving parents, Theodora and Pedro Gonzalez.  He leaves behind a legacy of strength and love who dedicated his life to the United States Army.  As a man of faith, Felipe was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus.

Felipe was preceded in death by his parents, Theodora and Pedro Gonzalez, his daughter, Analissa Gonzalez, and his sisters, Filomena Mancera and Eva Rodriguez.  He is survived by his loving wife, Rose Marie Gonzalez, and his children, Blanca Gonzalez of Floresville, Texas, Viviana Farnsworth and husband Vincente of Boerne, Texas, and Phillip Mark Gonzalez and wife Laura of San Antonio, Texas.  He will also be missed by his grandchildren, Justin Xavier Morales, Jayden Alexander Mireles, Analisa Gonzalez, Nayeli Gonzlaez, Jude Augustus Matos, and Jordan Alexander Jenkins as well as by his great-grandchildren, Felicity, Adriana, and Liam.  He is also survived by his siblings, Julie Galvan of Edinburg, Texas and Rene Rodriguez and his wife Mary of Edinburg, Texas as well as by numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Sunday, February 5, 2023 at 6:00 pm at Franklin Funeral Home.  A Rosary will follow at 7:00 pm.  A funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Monday, February 6, 2023 at 9:00 am and Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
