Evelyn Theresa Lopez

Evelyn Theresa Lopez, born October 3, 1950, left this world to be with Jesus on January 17, 2024 at the age of 73.  Evelyn lived life hard including in how she prayed and in how she loved. She was a woman of faith who was ever mindful of her Lord and Savior and didn’t let a day pass without talking to Him about her children and asking for His protection over them. She faced each day with a measure of spiciness that only comes from a life lived authentically. Those who knew her well appreciated that about her!  Evelyn was a faithful member of the Legion of Mary. She was also a member of the Rosary Making Group.

She is survived by her four children, Ricky Lopez, Joy Lopez, Vanessa Lopez and Shayleen Lopez-Garza, as well as her siblings, Larry Richter, Janie Zidek, Phyllis Davenport-Davis and MaryAnn Korzekwa. She was blessed to have a special relationship with her granddaughter Robyn Christel Lopez-Lichtenauer.  She was preceded in death by her mom, Barbara Frances Richter, and her brothers, Bernard Eugene Richter and Chester Marian Richter.

A Rosary will be recited at 10:30 am on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic church and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am.  Interment will directly follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the Lopez family asks that you consider making a donation in her honor to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
