Eusebio Martinez

Eusebio “Cheve” Arguijo Martinez Sr. passed away on May 14, 2024 at his home in Floresville, Texas at the age of 79 years old.  He was born on May 31, 1944 to loving parents Amador & Maria Martinez in Floresville, Texas.  Eusebio was a lifelong resident of Floresville, where he raised his family, working his land and instilling a lifetime of lessons on hard work, dedication, and love to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Eusebio was preceded in death by his parents, Amador & Maria Martinez, and his children, Eusebio Martinez Jr. and Velinda Sendejo.  He was also preceded by his great-grandson, Elijah Alarik Montague as well as by his siblings, Amador, Abel, Eloy, Vidal, David, Raymond, and Aurora Martinez.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Lupe Martinez, and his children, Victor Martinez, Sarah Trevino (Chris), and Sharon Martinez (Roman Orcutt).  He leaves behind thirteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and his siblings, Arthur Martinez (Mary), Leandro Martinez, and Mary Lou Martinez.  Eusebio will also forever be remembered by his nephew, Billy Martinez, and his honorary adopted family, Rene & Valerie Nava.  Eusebio truly touched the lives of all he knew and will be forever cherished by numerous friends and family.

A visitation will be held at 5:00 pm on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Franklin Funeral Home.  A Prayer Service will begin at 7:00 pm.  A Funeral Service will take place at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Franklin Funeral Home and interment will directly follow at the Picosa - Martinez Cemetery.   Following interment, a Wake will be held at The Outhouse (8409 FM 2579, Floresville, Texas 78114) and all are invited to attend.  Pallbearers will be: Frank Alta, Fernando De la Garza, Johnny Longoria, Jesus “Chewy”, Roman Orcutt, Chris Trevino, Robbie Hernandez, and Luis Barrera.
