Eudelia Sendejo Herrera passed into the loving arms of the Lord, surrounded by her devoted family, on May 16, 2025 in Floresville, Texas at the age of 77. She was born to Pedro Sendejo & Margarita Cruz on September 14, 1947 in Floresville, Texas, where she was born and raised. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, Eudelia's life was a shining example of love, service, and faith. She dedicated many years to her community as a school bus driver for the local school district, ensuring generations of children made it safely to and from school each day. Eudelia was also a proud and active member of the A.C.T.S. organization at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where she found joy, strength, and fellowship in her faith. Her devotion to her church and her unwavering belief in God were guiding lights in her life and a source of comfort to those who knew her.
Eudelia was preceded in death by parents, Pedro Sendejo and Margarita Cruz; her son, Leandro “Rooster” Herrera Jr.; and her sisters, Mary S. Silva, Petra S. Rodriguez, and Elida Sendejo. She is survived by her beloved husband, Leandro B. Herrera, and her son, Lorenzo Herrera and wife, Bernadette. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Lorenzo Herrera Jr., Britney Salazar and husband Devin, and Angel Rios; and her great-grandchildren, Ryker Herrera, Francesca Salazar, and Anthony Leandro Morones. She will also be dearly missed by her siblings, Rosalinda Guajardo and Rudy Sendejo Sr. Her kind heart, warm smile, and gentle spirit made a lasting impression on the lives she touched, including numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
A visitation will be held at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday May 23, 2025 and a Rosary will be recited at 10:30 am. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am and interment will directly follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
