Elsa Elida Garcia went into the loving arms of the Lord at her home in Floresville, Texas on December 18, 2022 at the age of 57 years old. She was born to loving parents, Elida and Melquiades “Mike” Palacios in Villa Union, Coahuila, Mexico on December 22, 1964. Elsa was a woman of faith who was an active member of The Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville, Texas where she was a Eucharistic Minister and Lectern. She spent a large part of her life making the world a more beautiful place as one of Floresville's beloved florists at The Flower Basket. She had a love for life that was infectious and leaves behind a wealth of beautiful memories.
Elsa was preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth P. Garcia, her father, Melquiades Palacios, and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Juan A. and Juanita B. Garcia. She is survived by her devoted husband, Rudy B. Garcia and her children, Evelyn Garcia, Elizandra Garcia, and Rudy P. Garcia and fiance Alexis Mireles, all of Floresville, Texas. She will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren: Madison Elizabeth Olivo, Mia Beth Ramirez, Colton Jace Ramirez, and Corbin James Ramirez. Elsa is survived by her siblings: Juanita and Juan Lopez, Jose Alberto Palacios, Telma Treviño, Mauricio and Carolyn Palacios, Héctor and Brenda Palacios, Griselda and Gavino B. Cantu, Blanca Palacios Mendoza, Edward and Stephanie Palacios, Pablo Palacios and Jimmy Palacios. She will also be missed by her husband’s siblings: Evaristo and Stella Garcia, Corrine and Danny Silva, Isabel “Alex” Trevino, Virginia and Tony Castro, Erma and Alonzo Castillo, and Christina and Frank Farias. Elsa truly filled every room she entered with joy and she will forever be cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, family, and friends.
A visitation will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 10:00 am. The Rosary will follow at 10:30 am. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am followed by interment at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Pallbearers are Jose Alberto Palacios, Mauricio Palacios, Héctor Palacios, Edward Palacios, Pablo Palacios, and Jimmy Palacios. Honorary Pallbearers are Colton Jace Ramirez and Corbin James Ramirez.
